Charitable Giving FAQ

  • Does a financial contribution substitute for blood donation?

No. There is no substitute for the life saving and life enhancing gifts of blood, marrow, organs and tissues. They are irreplaceable. But your financial contribution is another way you can show your support for our mission and move us closer to cures

  • Is my gift tax deductible?

Versiti and BloodCenter Research Foundation are both 501(c)(3) non-profit organizations. All gifts are tax deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law.

  • What does my gift support?

You can make an unrestricted gift to be used for the greatest need, or you can designate a specific area below:

    Promoting blood donation
Sharing Life –– Registries for marrow, organ and tissue
    Donorship education
    Community outreach
    Any research area

Versiti has naming opportunities available for those who want to help us transform health care today and for future generations. These include, but are not limited to, endowed chairs, fellowships and funds.
If you wish to support a program that is not listed here, or have questions about naming opportunities, please contact our Foundation Office at (414) 937-6799.

  • What kind of gifts does Versiti accept?

In addition to gifts of cash by check or credit card, we gratefully accept stocks and bonds, and bequests. We accept gifts-in-kind that can be used for our charitable purpose as well. Please contact the Foundation Office for information on gifts of stocks, bonds, bequests and gifts-in-kind.

  • Why should I give?

A gift of any amount will make a difference and provide hope for those who are counting on us. We are very proud to be advancing patient care through our medical and scientific expertise, but there is much more to be done. Your gift can make it happen.
