This June, honor Juneteenth Day and World Sickle Cell Awareness Day by donating blood.
In these unprecedented times, we are embracing ways to stand in solidarity with our community. Versiti does this best by saving lives. This Juneteenth Day and World Sickle Awareness Day, help your neighbor, family or friend by giving blood.
Juneteenth Day, June 19th, is the oldest known celebration signifying the end of slavery in the United States. It has been identified as a day that all Americans can celebrate and embrace as a symbol of freedom.
Sickle Cell Disease is a genetic blood disease that affects millions of people around the world, with a high prevalence among African Americans. Patients with this disease can experience severe pain and often require blood transfusion as a form of treatment.
To honor both days, Versiti is inviting you to donate at an upcoming blood drive in your community. We are asking those who attend a drive to wear RED to show your support.
