As an Ro blood donor, you are special, you serve a unique need, and you have the extraordinary power to save the lives of patients in your community. The remarkable Ro blood type is found in only 4% of our donors and is vital for the many patients with sickle cell disease who rely on frequent transfusions of this matched blood. Evidence shows that patients often have the best reaction when they receive transfusions from people with similar genetic backgrounds.

In appreciation for your loyal donations during a single calendar year (January 1 – December 31), we’ll celebrate your donation milestones with some special gifts just for Ro donors.

How do you know if I am a Ro donor?

Versiti tests every donor’s blood to find the best matches for patients. This is how we ensure an ample blood supply for hospitals and patients. After donating, if your blood has Ro characteristics, Versiti will contact you to let you know your blood is very needed and you will be enrolled into the Ro donor loyalty club.
I want to learn more about being an Ro blood donor. Does Versiti offer educational virtual webinars?

Do donations roll over?

The Beacon Club Ro Donors is focused on acknowledging donations in a single calendar year. Donations do not roll over from year to year, so you have the opportunity to earn new items annually!
How do I redeem my awards?

Versiti will track donations, and gifts will be sent or presented to donors as they reach milestones.
Once I achieve a milestone, when can I expect to receive my award?

Gifts will be fulfilled as quickly as possible. Distribution of milestone gifts will be shipped directly to the donor, and shipping may take up to 6 weeks post donation.
