Versiti is committed to increasing diversity in the workforce.
The Versiti Community Impact Scholarship was designed to increase diversity in the workforce and help us better support underrepresented students with an interest in healthcare and related industries.
The Versiti Community Impact Scholarship Fund aims to attract and recruit diverse individuals who help ensure a pipeline of talent representative of the communities we serve.
Applications will be accepted April 2nd - June 30th, 2024. Scholarship recipients will receive their awards at an upcoming event in September.

The Dennis Mestrich Scholarship Fund was established in 2015 to honor the contributions Dennis made to the Heartland Blood Center (HBC) during his 18 years as CEO. The purpose of the scholarship is to provide recipients with professional development opportunities that serve the greater Chicago community by leveraging medical and technical expertise. This scholarship is available to current Versiti Illinois employees, as well as non-Versiti employees who are currently enrolled or planning to enroll in an approved course of study.
The Byron Buhner Scholarship was established to honor Byron and his contributions made to the Indiana Blood Center during his 27 years as CEO. The purpose of this scholarship is to provide Versiti Blood center of Indiana staff with opportunities that support an employee’s educational development that further job knowledge or skills related to their employment with Versiti.
