We Give Blood Drive: Help local patients & help your school win. The winning school will receive $1 million to advance student or community health.

This year Versiti is proud to participate in Year 3 of the We Give Blood drive. Abbott and Big Ten_® are kicking off football season with something even more powerful than a touchdown — the school with the most donations will receive from Abbott $1 million to advance student or community health.

When you donate or present to donate blood throughout the campaign, you’ll receive an exclusive Big Ten_® university-specific T-shirt* — a stylish way to show your school pride while supporting a life-saving cause.

Be sure to spread the word and help us turn school spirit into life-saving action—because when we donate, we all win. Thank you for being a hero in your community. Learn more at BigTen.org/Abbott.

About the We Give Blood Drive

The We Give Blood Drive challenge takes place from Wednesday, August 26, to Friday, December 4, 2026, at blood drives and donor centers throughout Versiti’s five-state footprint (and beyond). Supporters of the participating universities are encouraged to show team spirit by donating blood in your school’s name. In addition to helping local hospital patients, the winning school will receive $1 million to advance student or community health.
