Laura Miller

Organ & Tissue, Wisconsin

Laura was a vibrant 14-year-old when she was diagnosed with a brain tumor which resulted in irreversible brain damage. Her younger sisters, Sara and Rachel, urged their parents to consider organ donation. They knew it was what Laura would have wanted.

Together, the family decided that donating her organs might provide a chance at life for someone else — and it did. Laura's liver recipient, Trish, says she cherishes each and every day and is grateful for Laura's gift of life.
