Catch the Buzz – April is National Donate Life Month

This year’s theme of “Bee a Donor” was inspired by the vital role that bees play in sustaining life. They are a small but powerful life force, working together with dedication, collaboration and a strong sense of community.

Throughout the month of April, join Versiti Organ and Tissue in helping to spread awareness about the need for registered organ and tissue donors. Plus, participate in fun Spirit Week activities to show your support!

Kendall and Chloe Roehling

At 13 months old, twins Kendall and Chloe Roehling were both diagnosed with restrictive cardiomyopathy and required heart transplants. Watch the video below to learn more about their story.

Versiti Blood Center of Wisconsin partners with Wisconsin regional hospitals, medical examiners and funeral homes to provide lifesaving gifts to those in need.

After the decision is made to donate one’s organs and tissues, our clinical staff consults with the United Network for Organ Sharing (UNOS) and transplant hospitals to find matches on the national waiting list. When matches are found, organs are allocated based on need and proximity.
